I think you should stop thinking of them as reporters and see them for the paid employees of large transnational media conglomerates that they are.
They're simply paid-mouthpieces for the owners, and they say only what they're told to say.

Yes, except not EVERY reporter is under complete control. I'm talking about so-called independent reporters-- and also about what they think and know-- not just what they say.
I've had a lot of trouble in posting anything about no planes and faked images at Portland Indymedia, which has a "9/11 Peopl's Investigation page. This is not a good sign for "independent" media.
the indymedias and IMC's have been loaded with spooks, fakes, and cointelpro since the anti-globalization protests of the late 90's...
