There's definitely a racial component to this tragedy.
But, really-- how did this one Korean guy, Cho Seung-Hui, get off so many rounds?
He must have fired over a hundred shots just at the students. Then he was in a gun battle with the police too?
What kind of training did he have?
Was he a mind-control victim programmed to go off when given the signal?

He apparently had been on anti-depressant medication, so he must have seen some sort of psychologist.
There was of course, big news yesterday that is totally overshadowed by the shooting.
On a more conventional note-- it is simply INEXCUSABLE that there was a morning shooting and killing, with the shooter on the loose on campus, and that classes were allowed to proceed normally after that. What the FUCK were the police thinking?

Joseph Cacioppo, a surgeon at Montgomery Regional Hospital who treated some of the injured, said on CNN that the injuries showed that the gunman was “brutal.” None of the injured that he treated had “less than three to four wounds in them,” he said.

Where did you see that he was involved in a gun battle with the police? Every story I've seen states that he had already shot himself by the time the police found him.
PREDICTION:
In the very near future (as soon as the politicians & anti-gun ownership rights special interest groups stop their demagoguery for a few minutes), the cost of exercising our 2nd Amendment rights will become even more expensive than it already is.
There will be cries for (what will inevitably be) ever-more-expensive and intrusive "background" checks for anyone seeking to purchase a firearm and some kind of new "fee" or tax will be levied on firearm sales, ammunition, and probably (mandatory) and expensive training courses in how to handle firearms.
this tragedy is horrible indeed but did you know that after the alleged 757; AA77, allegedly hit the pentagon on 9/11/01, the wall where this alleged 757 hit didn't even fall over until a good 1/2 hour later?

there was no 757 hitting the pentagon any more than there was a 757 lawndarting into the ground @ shanksville, pa.
