First of all, I'm sure they DID keep those who were critical to the success of the mission informed.

Second, informing another agency (and I assume Bamford wants to think he means intelligence services) is meaningless since 9/11 was a military operation.

Bamford, in this case, reminds me of Obama saying "the U.S. doesn't do torture". What he doesn't say is that the U.S. now uses proxies to conduct torture on its behalf.
