The answer is NO (though of course the Israelis differ), but meanwhile the NYTimes has planted the propaganda meme that Iran is designing nukes quite effectively through their headline.

Considering who are their enemies,
it might be a prudent idea.
Otherwise, Iranian citizens might
charge their leaders with being
irresponsible or even worse.
iran has signed the NPT and the IAEA has determined that iran is not even trying to build nuclear weapons. as well, a dozen different US agencies have stated the same.
in short; iran is no threat.
israel, on the other hand, refuses to sign the NPT and refuses to allow the IAEA to to inspect their nuclear facilities.
the drums of war are being beat by israel and their compliant US media - the same media that lied to us about iraq's non-existent WMD.
here we go again.
